If Pittsylvania County separated from Halifax County in 1767, was Halifax County established first? I love these maps, but it's difficult to choose since I was born in Martinsville, but grew up in South Boston.

I remember those hills and creek bottoms. We ran thru those woods for many years as children. Your art works are awesome and that is not the correct word to describe the beauty in colors, and the angles. Picasso has come to life again but with a excellent twist. Your art is outstanding!

Happy Thursday, Danny!

I am bringing closure to my latest book (A Pole Ax and a Mule: The Owney Junior Carter Story) about a neighbor who attended Soapstone Elementary School (Pittsylvania County) around 1952. It would be great if I could include a picture of that school. Any ideas how that might be accomplished? I will call around today and continue researching to see what will happen.

Thanks for whatever info you might be able to provide.

Peace,
Arlene
