I can’t believe it’s already October!
My five-year-old son Atticus and I spent some time watching outside our den window this afternoon as the leaves blew sideways across the backyard. Between that and the chill this morning on the way to church, there was no doubt in our minds that Fall is upon us.
I didn’t post the calendars last week because they were twisted from the start. We were supposed to be in the computer lab last Monday through Wednesday working on our “Where I’m From” videos (which are, by the way, turning out FABULOUSLY!), but the Animoto website we were using had been blocked for students. Sigh.
So we switched Thursday for Monday and I was able to get the site unblocked for Tuesday…and we kept right on rolling.
I meant to revise the calendars and post them, but being in the lab all day three days in a row really wears one out. Plus, the Friday before last was the last day of the first six-weeks, so I had to get everything graded and in the system, which is new. Report cards come out this week, Tuesday, I believe.
So here we are. A new week, a new set of calendars, that I hope will work without too much tweaking:
English 10 calendar – October 3-7
AD English 9 calendar – October 3-7
Thanks to a nasty cold I picked up from somewhere, I will not be working tomorrow. My voice has almost left me, and I’m hoping a day without too much talking will preserve it.
These calendars will be distributed on Tuesday, but all the necessary upcoming information will be on the classroom board tomorrow.
