This picture is from Wednesday’s AD English 9 classes when groups rearranged the 14 lines of the Romeo and Juliet Act I Prologue.
I think everyone did a pretty good job, considering no one had read the piece before and we didn’t go over what a sonnet was to begin. Everyone picked up on the rhymes right off, but since the Shakespearean sonnet’s rhyme scheme is ABAB CDCD EFEF GG, most rhyming lines didn’t fit one after the other.
The closest any group got to completing the poem was in 1st period. Congratulations to Zach, India, Amanda, Emerald, and Amber (pictured above) on your extra-credit points!!
