On Thursday, freshmen took their first reading quiz. It was on the first six chapters of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Many students in my two classes did well on the quiz, some even earning extra credit because they not only answered the quiz questions correctly, but also added extra details from their reading. The vast majority, however, did poorly, either from not reading much or all of the pages, or not reading it closely enough.
After each reading quiz, students will choose a particular literary analysis worksheet to complete on the same reading assignment. Everyone will complete a different analysis worksheet for each reading assignment.
The first analysis sheet is due tomorrow.
Here are the six different analysis sheets. Also, there is one with job descriptions and examples of good analysis from former students.
I have adobe reader and the links still aren’t opening from what you put out today. Any suggestions? Thanks
Have you tried right-clicking and saving to your computer? I’m not sure why they’re not opening for you.
I’m emailing you the sheets.
